I’ve been running construction crews since 2007, and I still walk the first site visit on every kitchen remodel and home addition we take in Anaheim. I started this business because I got tired of watching homeowners eat change orders they never agreed to - so Clause 1 of the Haven Standard is personal. I hold a California B-General Building Contractor license, and I keep it current because I’m on permit applications and inspection sign-offs weekly. What I didn’t expect: the job I thought would take two days on a Fullerton Avenue bathroom gut actually took four when we found the subfloor had been sistered with 1-by material from a 1978 remodel. I told the homeowner before we pulled another nail, and we wrote the revised scope that afternoon. That’s the only way I know how to do it.
