DIY or Call Us?

An owner can safely lift a grate and check for visible blockages, and you can measure the channel width and grate lock position to help us identify the part before we arrive. Where DIY goes wrong is in assuming that if the grate fits, the channel is correct, which is not true for the K-7835 versus K-8000 series overlap. The deeper risk is in resetting pavers without recompacting the bedding layer; an unsupported paver under a vehicle will crack, and the liability shifts to you.

We do not recommend homeowners cut or remove channel drain bodies themselves.
