• Interior water stains on drywall or plaster, typically brown-ringed and expanding after rain. On low-slope Cambria TPO, this usually traces to a failed seam weld at a field joint or penetration boot, where thermal cycling has cracked the weld bead.
• Bubbling or tenting of the membrane surface, especially within 3 feet of perimeter walls. This indicates trapped moisture in the insulation board below, often from a fastener penetration that backed out during Santa Ana wind gusts common to Anaheim’s fall season.
• Visible cracking at flashing transitions (HVAC curbs, vent pipes, parapet walls). Cambria’s earlier EPDM used uncured flashings that hardened and checked after 8-10 years of California sun exposure; the TPO improved this but still requires proper 6-inch overlap at these stress points.
