To identify your Boxabl’s exact driveway or paver requirements, check the installation documentation that shipped with your module. The foundation detail sheet specifies minimum 6-inch compacted AB (aggregate base) for paver applications, or 5-inch minimum concrete with #4 rebar at 18-inch centers for poured surfaces. If that documentation is missing, measure the module’s steel frame contact points - Casita units show 24-inch square pads at each corner; larger Boxabl ADU series use continuous perimeter beams requiring a uniform load-bearing surface.

This is common when the original installation used standard residential concrete without air-entrainment or when the delivery path crossed an unsupported lip.

Where DIY goes wrong: compacting aggregate base in a single lift instead of 8-inch lifts with a plate compactor between each. Skipping geotextile separation when Anaheim’s clay soils are present.
