Check the inside of the post cap, if you can remove it without cracking the tabs; CWS stamps a date code and series letter there. The Privacy line carries a “P” prefix, Ranch Rail an “R.” If the cap is seized from UV exposure, measure the outside post dimension with a tape measure and note whether the wall feels thick (Privacy) or flexes slightly under pressure (lighter series).

Signs Your CWS Fence Installation Is Failing

What goes wrong in DIY is almost always the footing.
